History of Neptune

Nearly 3 billion miles away from the sun, neptune orbits the sun once in every 165 years, and has not quite  made a full circle around the sun sense it has been discoverd. She is seventeen times bigger than earth as well as the fourth largest planet.

This slowest moving planet was first observed,in 1613, by an Italian scientist and scholar Galileo Galilei. He, at first mistook it for a star, and because of that he wasnt really able to get the movements understood; he was only able to be in sight of this plnet for two nights. Because of the discovery of another planet, Uranus, Neptune was fanally discoverd also in 1846. Neptune was basically the reason why Uranus goes around the sun the way it does as it is the same for Neptune. Neptune and Uranus gravitational forces influence each others orbit around the sun.
